AWS is committed to ensuring that AWS Summit Program s is accessible for all attendees. This is inclusive of (but not limited to) booths/exhibits, booth content and activations.
Please review the AWS Summits Accessibility Guidelines below . Please refer to local guidelines (e.g., ADA, WCAG), as well as applicable building codes for guidance on entrance width, slope of ramps, and other requirements. For questions around accessibility, please reach out to us directly.
Aisle Width | Aisle width in a booth must be no less than 36 inches of unobstructed space between displays, fixtures, etc., and a 3-foot-square area in all corners to allow a person in a mobility device to make a 90-degree turn. If this level of access isn't possible due to an exhibit's footprint, staff should be available at all times to assist with out-of-reach items. |
Height of Booth Elements | Position interactive elements, including touchscreens, displays, demonstration and kiosk heights to help ensure accessibility to attendees using mobility devices. The recommended minimum and maximum heights for exhibit elements are 15" (low) and 48" (high) above the finished floor. For exhibitors using bar-height (i.e. approx 42-inch-tall) tables and counters, consider having a 30" table or counter within the booth to allow for mobility devices. |
Demos, Presentations and Videos | Content for demos, presentations and videos should adhere to the following recommendations, where applicable in the booth: - A contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 exists between text and the background behind text for all interface elements, images, and icons throughout the experience. - All text and interface elements properly zoom and support scaled text to a minimum of 400% without overlap or loss of functionality. - All elements must have a focus indicator that meets the color contrast requirement of 4.5:1. - Color is not the only means of conveying information. - All images have alternative text or are properly designated as decorative. - All videos have closed captions. - All form elements have visible labels. |
Handouts and Collateral | If handouts or written collateral are made available, braille and large print copies should also be available. |
